Welcome to the Terry Lab
We are a paleoecology and mammalogy research group in the Department of Integrative Biology at Oregon State University. Our lab studies the temporal and spatial responses of terrestrial communities to changes in climate and anthropogenic land-use — across modern, historical, and paleontological timeframes — merging the perspectives, tools, and data archives of biology and geology.
We investigate the structure and dynamics of modern, historical, and ancient populations and communities, and how geological records preserve ecological information. Our work is driven by the need to better understand and predict the future fates of species and ecosystems in our rapidly changing world.
